Karen Vernell Moody was born on October 6, 1967 to Marylene Moody and the late Claude Stewart. God saw a beautiful angel and decided to call her home on February 26, 2014.
Karen graduated from the Northampton County Public School System. She was employed at Roanoke Valley Assisted Living Facility in Gaston, NC and Fas Pik Coin Laundry in Emporia, VA.
Karen leaves to cherish her memories, her mother; Marylene Moody of Gaston, NC, one sister; Claudette Moody (David) of Chesterfield, VA, four children; Webster Moody of Chesapeake, VA, Quentin Moody (Shant’e), Doretha Moody and Calvin Evans, Jr., of Emporia, VA, six aunts; Margaret Adams, Lois Banks, Mary Adams (Walta) of Gaston, NC, two special aunts; Loraine Robinson and Emily Simmons (James) of Gaston, NC, two uncles; Al Moody and Folandies Moody of Gaston, NC, eleven grandchildren that was her everyday sunshine, two special cousins that cherished her like their sister; Jeffrey Robinson and James Simmons two special friends; Betty Atkins and Precious Atkins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Royal Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
